New Members Information

Steps to becoming a member of GODC
1.
Find out about the club to make sure it is for you. We aren’t currently running puppy kinder so our classes are for pups between 16 weeks and 6 months and dogs over 6 months.
Information can be obtained by:

Attending the club and speaking to one of our volunteers. This is by far the best way and this can be done every Monday during office hours (3.00pm to 7.00pm).

Phone the club (5243 4555) and speak to our secretary during office hours.

Browsing the web site (soon to be updated to a friendlier format we hope)

Contact the club by email

Visit the club during training on a Sunday. If you decide to take this option please do NOT bring your dog and make yourself known at the office upon your arrival. This option should only be utilised after discussions with the secretary on Monday. Club officials are very busy on Sundays and may not have time to answer questions as thoroughly or promptly as you may want.
2.
When you decide that you wish to join the club attend at the club on Monday afternoon (3.00pm to 7.00pm). At this time you will have to;

Present a completed new members application form.

Present dog’s vaccination certificate (C5),

Pay money fees per link.

Bring your current Dogs Victoria membership if you wish to be exempt from the insurance levy.

You do not have to bring the dog at this time.
3.
Once you have joined you can book a place in the training intake you wish to attend. Note that although there is a new class on the first Sunday of every 10 weeks except December and January they are well attended. If you wait until the Monday before the classes start, to register, there may not be room for you.
